Most Nevada County addresses have one Title 24 climate zone and that is the end of it. Birchville does not. The California Energy Commission statewide Building Climate Zones layer returns Zone 11 at the Birchville coordinate. Nevada County assessor records return Zone 16 on 47 of the 53 parcels within half a mile, and Zone 11 on the other six. The line between the two zones runs through the neighborhood.

That is worth knowing before you buy a fan or a window. Structural snow load is a separate question and does still apply.
