Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Oakwood Remodeling Group is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the accessibility of this site and strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time certification. We describe below how we test, what we have fixed, and what we know still needs work.

Conformance Status

WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We are working through the remaining items and re-testing as we go.

How We Test

Our most recent accessibility review was completed on August 3, 2026, and covered every page template on this site.

Automated testing

We run the axe-core accessibility engine against live pages covering each page type on the site — home, service, city and county, blog, cost calculator, contact, and policy pages. We separately audit every colour pairing in our design system against the WCAG contrast formula, and we check heading structure and landmark naming across all page templates.

Manual testing

We manually review keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, focus order and focus trapping in dialogs, our navigation menus, and the accessible names of form fields, buttons, and links. Automated tools cannot catch these, so they are reviewed by hand.

Accessibility testing is never finished, and user reports tell us things testing cannot. If you use assistive technology and run into a problem on this site, we would genuinely like to hear about it.

Measures We Take

To support accessibility, we take the following steps:

  • Use semantic HTML to provide a clear document structure
  • Provide text alternatives for images, and mark decorative images so screen readers skip them
  • Check text and interface colours against WCAG contrast minimums
  • Make interactive elements operable with a keyboard alone
  • Provide visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
  • Associate every form field with a visible label, and describe errors in text
  • Give navigation landmarks and headings a consistent, logical structure
  • Respect the operating-system “reduce motion” preference, including for background video
  • Provide captions for video testimonials
  • Publish our guides as web pages rather than PDFs
  • Re-test after changes, and run accessibility checks before new pages go live

Compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

This website is designed to work with recent versions of major web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and to remain usable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.

Third-Party Content

Some content on this site comes from outside services — most notably our customer reviews, which are supplied by Google along with reviewer names and profile images. We control how that content is presented, but not the content itself. If any part of it is difficult for you to access, contact us and we will provide the same information directly.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you experience any difficulty using any part of this site, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. It helps us if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or browser you were using — but please get in touch even if you would rather not include those details.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days.

Getting Our Information Another Way

If any content on this site is not accessible to you, we will provide the same information in another format at no cost to you. Call us at (916) 907-8783 and we can read pricing, service details, or project information to you over the phone, email it in a format that works for you, or arrange a free in-home consultation. Every service we offer can be arranged by phone — you never need to use this website to become a customer, get an estimate, or get help.

Ongoing Improvement

We run automated accessibility checks as part of publishing changes to this site, and we re-review the site manually on a recurring basis and after any significant redesign. New pages are checked before they go live. When we find or receive a report of a barrier, we prioritise it alongside our other work and update this page as things change.
